It is the cancer of the inner lining of uterus. In most cases when we use the term ‘cancer of uterus”we generally mean this cancer.other cancer of the uterus are very rare.
Diagnosis : is by sonography and biopsy
most preferrred treatment for complete cure is “ SURGERY’ However it can be done only in stages 1, 2 and 3. Other treatments includes
Chemotherapy for stages 3 onward
Radiation for stage 2 onwwards
Immunotherapy or target therapy based on molecular report
Rarely hormonal treatment especially when we wish to save the uterus
Fertility sparing surgery : is possible in younger women who wish to have children provided early stage disease of a particular type is found. Needs in depth consultation to understand the benefits and possible problems of this treatment as also how much time can be given to the women for fertility
