LAPROSCOPY AND ROBOTIC SURGERY

Cancers of Certain Stages of Endometrium and Cervix Can Be Treated by Laproscopic or Robotic Surgery, Called as Minimal Invasive Cancers.

Even in recurrent diseases they can be used for surgery however any suspected ovarian mass or ovarian cancer shouldn't be treated with either laproscopy or robotic surgery as it can lead to disease spread by co2 gas If done for the correct disease stage, both kinds of surgeries have same recovery and post operative time and results of cancer cure also are the same.

Also both laproscopy and robotic surgeries are preferred methods of surgery for nan cancer uterus & ovarian conditions or for removal of uterine fibroids

Picc Line: it is an method of securing the large vein in the arm for chemotherapy. it requires continuous dressing throughout the duration of a few months of chemotherapy.it is not easy to maintain and also may be required to change and replace after a few cycles each time. hence now-a-days chemoport is preferred, which is placed below the skin, so doesn't require dressing and can be kept up to 4-5 yrs.
